Government and Business Press for Prompt Payment

The UK Government in conjunction with industry representatives has issued a call for businesses and public organisations to pay suppliers on time. They have also recommended that small businesses pursue those who put them at risk by delaying payment. This is a clear recognition of the impact on cash flows of small companies where customers do not pay on time.

The Government Initiative is supported by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), THE Institute of Credit Management (ICM), AND THE Forum of Private business among others. The full government press release can be read here
