AMA Achieves Corporate CAI Accreditation
May 2013

AMA are committed to a variety of professional standards and as a further part of that commitment presented our collectors for the Credit Services Association’s Collector Accreditation Initiative test. This test examines the knowledge and competencies required to be a professional collector. The test covers among other things, the following areas.

  • OFT Guidance on Unfair DebtCollection Practice
  • Treating Customers Fairly
  • Lending Standards Board –TheLending Code
  • FOS – Dispute Resolution Guidance
  • Data Protection Act 1998
  • The Consumer Credit Act 1974

All of our collectors who were presented for the test successfully passed first time. The accreditation applies to the individual collectors. Corporate Accreditation is granted to companies where at least 75% of collectors in a company have passed the test and AMA have achieved that level.

This is another example of the standards of professionalism we work to.
